UNV recruits an HR Assistant

UNV is seeking an HR Assistant.

Eligibility criteria: Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the HR Associate the volunteer will be responsible of :

  • Participating in recruitment efforts
  • Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications
  • Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process
  • Collecting employment information
  • Ensuring background and reference checks are completed
  • Preparing new employee files
  • Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation
  • Orienting new employees to the organization
  • Conducting benefit enrollment process
  • Maintaining current HR files and databases
  • Updating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar records
  • Administering new employment assessments
  • Serving as a point person for all new employee questions
  • Facilitate staff separation process
  • Prepare written response to queries concerning HR related matters.
  • Assisting in overall responsibility for leave management, record management
  • Provide administrative coordination in the extension of contracts
  • Any other HR related task assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Education – Additional Comments: Human Resources
  • Required experience: 36 Months
  • Experience remark: 3 years experience in Human Resources

Language skills:

  • French(Mandatory), Level – Fluent
  • English(Mandatory), Level – Fluent

Area of expertise: Human resources management and development, Other development programme/project experience.
