You will work in an international team to provide sound legal advice and support in facilitating commercial activities and corporate functions to achieve business objectives whilst mitigating risks. This includes drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, driving negotiations and improvements in regional policies and contractual templates. You will also be involved in building knowledge management content for the global legal team and provide legal training across the business.
The Successful Applicant
- With a minimum of 10 years experience either in a law firm or as an in-house counsel, you have a sound knowledge of OHADA, CEMAC or UEMOA legal rules. An exposure to the Oil & Gas sector is a plus.
- English and/or Portuguese/Spanish is mandatory. French is advantageous.
The location is flexible with a preference for home-office with regular business trips in Angola, E-G, Gabon, Congo, Cameroon etc… (30% to 50% of the time).
