We are looking to recruit a Bilingual Reporter to work in Dakar on a continuing contract.

Role Responsibility

The bilingual reporter will play a crucial role providing timely, expert and authoritative coverage of news and current affairs in Senegal and the francophone Africa region. You will file across platforms (TV, digital and radio) and in both French and English.

This role requires travel, sometimes at short notice and/or to areas which are hostile environments.

Are you the right candidate?

With excellent French and English language skills, you will have experience of field reporting and a strong broadcasting voice and track record of accuracy and impartiality.

You will have extensive knowledge of Francophone West Africa, including a good understanding of the complexities of the target region.   The ability to work under pressure and react to breaking news is essential.  You must be a self-starter, with a strong ability to work independently.
