About myAgro
myAgro helps farmers move out of poverty: we do this with a simple approach. We help farmers manage their cash flow better – at harvest time when farmers have more cash, they can lock away their funds for seeds and fertilizer for the next season. They pay using their mobile phone (or mobile money in Tanzania) and myAgro delivers the inputs they’ve paid for before it rains and provides technical training so farmers know how to use the inputs efficiently. This leads to 50% more food and 50% more income per farm. To date myAgro serves 46,000 farmers and will scale to 1 million farmers by 2025. About this Role
Supply Chain Management
Procurement
For any procurement, guarantee the compliance of the supplier selection & related documentation as per myAgro’s procurement guidelines.
- Build the sourcing capacity and maintain a supplier database accordingly.
- Coordinate the procurement cycle with all stakeholders (program, finance, technology, suppliers, etc.) from the planning stage, to contract signature until delivery completion.
- Ensure constant availability of running supplies/services/works.
- Manage traceability & reconciliation between orders, contracts & deliveries, and liaise with finance for problem solving.
Stocks & Deliveries
- Ensure appropriate storage network & stock management standards.
- Identify & settle warehouses/storage space based on needs.
- Ensure goods transportation means are secured as per needs.
- Coordinate & follow-up deliveries & liaise efficiently with suppliers for problem solving.
- Share information across teams about stock levels & expected lead-times.
- Manage periodic inventories, stock clearance and investigations over discrepancies.
Logistical Management
Fleet and Transportation
- Deploy efficient transportation means across the country.
- Anticipate vehicle needs and liaise with Country Director & finance teams to anticipate budgets accordingly.
- Maintain efficient monthly, weekly & daily planning & movements follow-up tools.
- Identify reliable external transportation companies.
- Control & optimize fleet costs.
- Coordinate an efficient maintenance framework across the country (in terms of operations as well as in terms of costs).
- Ensure administrative requirements are met toward customs and any other local authority when transporting goods/staff.
Premises
- Identify & settle premises (warehouses) in close liaison with Country Director and finance teams.
- Ensure that security & safety guidelines are applied in premises.
Leadership
- Plan & conduct logistics staff recruitments & appraisals; train & build capacities of logistics staff in country; identify staff with potential, and contribute to internal mobility strategy.
- Actively promote strong & structured communication with all teams for all logistics operations (program & finance in particular).
- Participate in country level coordination meetings by reporting on progress, and risks.
- Strategically plan to scale the logistic and procurement processes along with organizational growth.
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in logistics management and procedures;
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to train, mobilize, and manage both international and national staff;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure;
- Ability to work well in unstable and frequently changing security environments;
- Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office;
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken French and English.
