Description

IaaS expert will bring her/his high expertise during the Solution implementation phase, the “baby sitting” phase, and after the Acceptance, during the Support phase at the L3 level.

Key tasks

Activity 1 – IaaS Deployment

  • Qualify the documentation received from Lab Networks (Exhaustivity, clear, structured and understandable,…)
  • Collect local parameters ( Network Gateway, Firewall, Load-Balancer, VPN, DNS, DHCP,..)
  • Install the suite of software on the Hardware provided for this IaaS purpose.
  • Raise any difficulty (inaccurate or inappropriate indication, bugs, lack of parameters,..) with its context by reverting back to lab network
  • Parameters the software component of the IaaS Solution, including VPN access to allow the remote access from lab networks
  • Run the preliminary tests with the lab network assistance (test VMs provisioning)
  • Run the Acceptance Tests.

Activity 2 – On Prem “Baby Sitting”

  • Ensure L1 & L2 support
  • Competence transfer to Affiliates Support entities.
  • Write the support L1/L2 procedures.

Activity 3 – L3 Support

  • Qualify and proceed the received L3 ticket (ticket registering for further tracking, ,…)
  • Browse the Knowledge database, to seek for an analogous case
  • Undertake and carry out troubleshooting activities (remote access to the defaulted customer platform, Bug analysis, if needed reproduce the bug on a test platform)
  • Once bug identified, seek for public/published patches/workaround either in our Knowledge Database or in editor documentation (included OpenSource Communities documentation)
  • If needed, trigger the editor support, describe context and bugs, agree on an action plan to deep dive further
  • Apply patches/workaround on a preproduction platform, and verify that those ones resolve the problem/incident
  • Revert back and inform the customer on the incident resolution,
  • Update the Ticket status
  • Document the Knowledge database
  • If needed, update the Configuration Management Database
  • Help Junior Colleagues
  • Prepare the Statistics elements for the program management

Mandatory

  • Able to work in an integrated team with confidence and successfully manage his/her time and priorities
  • Curious, strong momentum to learn and serve the customer interests.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to work well under short timelines.
  • Able to build and maintain a combination of domain knowledge.
  • fluency in oral and written French is mandatory. At ease in English oral is written is also required.
  • Relevant experience in Linux Administration.
  • Relevant experience in Cloud Platform (OpenStack Is highly recommended, or alternatively on VMware vSPhere ESX, VSphere NSX and vCloudSuite)
  • Strong Experience in Routing, Switching, Firewalling is mandatory, and knowledges about Juniper components would be highly appreciated.

Notes : if required, Additional Product Trainings and Transfer of competence will be given at the beginning of the mission.

Experience & Education

  • Senior with 5/6 years in a similar support position
  • Mandatory Engineer grade
  • Fluency in French, Oral and writings business English required
