Wave Senegal hiring Public Relations Manager.
We’re looking to make our first Public Relations hire who will own our brand and external communication as we rapidly scale our business in Senegal. You will report to Wave Senegal’s General Manager.
In this role, you’ll:
- Own Wave’s PR strategy for Senegal from its development to its implementation
- Work closely with the People team in building our employer brand
- Coordinate with the growth team on strategies for user acquisition
- Shape our response to policy and operational issues and advise leads in its implementation
- Provide strategic guidance to our executive team on PR perspective for addressing our key business priorities
- Bring creativity and storytelling abilities to manage Wave’s brand and external presence
- Be metric driven in assessing the impact of PR efforts on Wave’s growth
- Develop and maintain relationships with reporters and influencers, and support marketing efforts as needed

Requirements
- Language: Excellent English, French and Wolof written and verbal skills
- Previous Experience:
- 8+ years in leading corporate communications at a multi-national company
- 2+ years working with major media houses in Senegal, including on media buying

Bonus points if you
- Have experience working in mobile money sector
- Have led communication/ PR in more than one WAEMU country
