The technical hub manager will be responsible for the development and management of the regional training and technical support. Leveraging our global strategies and materials, this individual will develop, organize and conduct in-depth training on Alere range of products. They will also have an important role with regards to the support implementation plan, equipment and connectivity installment within the given region.

This is a pan-Africa role, though initial focus will be to enhance the development and management of the regional training and technical support. Historically healthcare in Africa has been focused on infectious disease, however we know there is an increased focus on the prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases as well, with rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity on the rise.

Responsibilities

  • To develop and manage regional training and technical support (Customer Care Specialist) in the area of French and North African Countries.
  • To develop, organize and conduct in-depth training on Alere range of products.
  • To support implementation plans, equipment and connectivity install in territory
  • Educate, supervise and coach distributors TS teams
  • Support Launching products and TS evaluations follow-up
  • Contribute successfully in the achievement of the company goals in territory
  • Develops and foster positive customer relationships
  • Submit weekly and monthly agenda/plan of action for approval
  • Report on monthly activities
  • Set individual objectives relating to the Technical Training package
  • Acquire subject matter expertise in assigned products and maintain expertise. Follow and support local and/or clinical evaluation in the various countries.
  • To provide technical assistance to equipment users. To answer questions or resolve equipment problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location.
  • Collaborate with Alere products specialists, Customer Support, Export Director, Technical Training Officer when developing programs for new product releases.
  • To provide technical assistance to equipment users. To answer questions or resolve equipment problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location, troubleshoot and conduct repairs on instruments. Support remote connectivity
  • Support and maintain the complaint management process including post market surveillance and vigilance and reporting chain.
  • Supervise and manage the day to day activities of the Field Support Program.

Qualifications: Bachelors level degree in biosciences or engineering.

Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience in customer service. Molecular Biology or HIV background a definite advantage.
