ImagiNation Afrika seeks to enlist an assistant to support online community engagement and strategic communications to support fundraising. Working in partnership with program and social media teams, the Communications intern will be responsible for drafting content for online social platforms including the ImagiNation Afrika Twitter, and Facebook pages and website, engaging ImagiNation Afrika’s social media audience, monitoring organizational social media accounts, and developing communication material for fundraising.

Objectives of the Assignment
To support ImagiNation Afrika’s overall communication strategy through crafting and management of social media presence and developing content for publication.
Scope of Work/Duties and Responsibilities
The Social Media Assistant will :
- Manage company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram
- Engage in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms
- Create dynamic written, graphic, and video content
- Create content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence and encourages audience participation
- Assist social media management with large projects, events, and community management
- Work as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns
- Analyse and reports audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects and ads
- Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content
- Work with marketing and social media team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
- Assist in writing and distributes e-newsletters to subscribers
- Assist social media communications
- Use timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction
Requirements/Qualifications
Marketing or Social Media Marketing Experience, Technology Skills, Content Writing, Graphic Design( canva, photoshop, wordpress, etc., Campaign Execution, Teamwork, Self-Motivation, Strong Communication Skills, Networking, Idea Presentation, SEO and PPC, Excellent French and Wolof written skills; working knowledge of English preferred
