The position of the Senior Project Manager leads directly, effectively, and visibly to leadership positions in the public and private health sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute actively to facilitating access to COVID-19 vaccines to countries and ending the global pandemic. An attractive remuneration will be proposed.
About the project
The global pandemic has already caused the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives and disrupted the lives of billions more. As well as reducing the tragic loss of life and helping to get the pandemic under control, introduction of a vaccine will prevent the loss of US$ 375 billion to the global economy every month. Global equitable access to a vaccine, particularly protecting health care workers and those most-at-risk is the only way to mitigate the public health and economic impact of the pandemic.
On 24 April, the World Health Organization (WHO) hosted the launch of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator, a new global collaboration to accelerate development, production, and equitable access to COVID-19 diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines. Within the Accelerator, Gavi, CEPI, and WHO together with multinational and developing country vaccine manufacturers developed the COVAX Facility. The Facility aim to accelerate the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines, and to guarantee fair and equitable access for every country in the world.
The Country Readiness and Delivery (CRD), a workstream of the COVAX facility aims to develop and disseminate adaptable global resources (e.g., guidance, trainings, tools, and advocacy materials) to support COVID-19 vaccines introduction.
Dalberg Advisors (Dalberg), a strategy consulting firm specialized in economic development, with a strong focus on public health, and JSI, its partner, are leading the Project Management Office (PMO) of the CRD.
