Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction recruits a Senior Grant Compliance Accountant

GNDR is seeking a Senior Grant Compliance Accountant to support the management of the donor projects for the network. Applicants can be based in Delhi, Nairobi or Dakar.

GNDR is a network of organisations across 127 countries striving to build resilience of disaster-prone communities. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Grant Compliance Accountant to provide financial oversight of GNDR’s members participating in donor–funded projects, throughout all stages of the project management cycle. The role is involved in:

  • Due diligence and capacity assessment of subawardees prior to fund disbursement;
  • Financial management of subawards, including overseeing project accounting and financial reporting;
  • Grant compliance, overseeing compliance to GNDR and donor financial policies and procedures,;
  • Audit, including supporting donor audits and end of project audits of subawardee;

All Candidates must be qualified accountants, and have significant experience of financial and management and grant compliance within the international non-profit sector handling donor funds. Candidates must have experience of working with institutional donor grants (e.g. EU, USAID, DFID), and experience of subgrant management and meeting the compliance requirements of institutional donors. Candidates should also have excellent communications skills, including excellent written and spoken fluency in English, with fluency in either French or Spanish being desirable.

Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in either India, Kenya or Senegal to be based in one of our offices. Candidates from other countries will not be considered.

GNDR offers a competitive salary plus pension, specific to the location. Please note expatriate benefits are not offered.
