1. KEY OBJECTIVES

a) Assures the availability and the integrity of the equipment on site.
b) Be able to solve mechanical problems and handle the troubleshooting.
c) Must be quality conscious and deliver technically sound results without incident.
d) As and when required be able to carry out mechanical work in the engine room while under the Supervision of the Engine Room Supervisor.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

a) Before intervention: controls the quality, quantity and location of spare parts received on board. Must refer to Mechanical Supervisor if any problem arises with spare parts (quality, quantity, etc.).
b) Before intervention: prepares the tools, specific tools, materials, recovered the work procedure and work permit from Mechanical Supervisor.
c) Before the intervention: discusses with his/her Supervisor about the activity in terms of safety, maintenance tasks, spare parts, technicians, execution time. If it is required, the Mechanical Technician must ask explanation, details or information to his/her Supervisor to avoid any misunderstanding.
d) Before the intervention: reads and follows the maintenance procedure(s) that relates to the job. Explains the activity to his/her shift (toolbox meeting).
e) During the intervention: assures that the maintenance tasks mentioned inside the maintenance procedure are performed on right way by the Mechanical shift.
f) During the intervention: be capable to highlight an anomaly, failure, deviation and report directly to his/ her Supervisor.
g) After intervention: assures all the tasks have been well performed.
h) After intervention: controls all the mechanical elements have been well reassembled.
i) After intervention: in coordination with Production Department and Maintenance Supervisors (E/I) be able to restart the equipment and lead the running test.
j) Performs maintenance routine, daily control on the running equipment and facilities. Fills out the record sheet of main parameter; be capable to interpret it and report to his/her Supervisor if any problem arises and or parameter drifts.
k) Participates at the commissioning of the new or modified installation.
l) Be able to establish a clear diagnostic on site, to report to his/her Supervisor and set up a corrective action.
m) Develops and nurtures a culture of continuous improvement within the Maintenance Department.

Profil du poste

1- EXPERIENCE

a) Proven experience on maintenance of mechanical equipment as:
Gas turbine, steam turbine, reciprocating equipment, gas compressor (HP/MP/LP/air services), fuel gas compressor, boiler, diesel generator, pumps, crane, HPU, fire pumps.
b) 5 + years experience in the Oil and Gas or Power Generation Industry
c) Be able to understand the Process of Production (FPSO).

2- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

a) Mechanical Technician certificate.
b) Recognized expert in rotating equipment, compression and gas turbines. Turbine experience is highly beneficial and recommended.
c) Must be fully competent in the application and use of laser alignment instruments, bore scope, vibration analysis device and precision measurement tools.
d) Skills to work with CMMS Maximo and MS office.
e) Excellent command of the English language.
